Greatview doubles capacity of its German factory.
Following consecutive years of very strong growth, Greatview Aseptic Packaging has made an investment to enlarge its German factory in Halle (Saale). Very strong growth in Greatview’s international sales, at more than 50% year-on-year, has prompted an additional investment of approximately €23 million in new equipment and facility expansion.
An additional state-of-the-art printing line makes use of the very latest flexographic printing technology, while other equipment and building expansion has added capacity, flexibility and efficiency to Greatview’s operations, while helping to deliver service, responsiveness and optimal products to customers. An expanded logistics hub allows reduced movement and parking of road transport on local roads, as well as a direct rail connection for incoming and outgoing goods.
“This investment, which has more than doubled the annual production capacity of the factory, is a vote of confidence in the continuing growth in our market share, as well as evidence of the value of the world-class product, quality and service that we offer dairy, juice and beverage producers around the world”, said Jeff Bi, CEO of Greatview Aseptic. “Greatview has grown in Europe, despite a flat overall market, while capturing new opportunities in Russia and CIS, the Americas, Middle East, Africa and Asia.”
With this expansion, Greatview also has expanded its commitment to the region in which it is located, creating additional high-value, skilled jobs, utilising local service providers and contributing to the dynamic growth of the Leipzig-Halle corridor.
